SPIRITUAL GROWTH

I peter 2:2 says desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow thereby. Paying special attention to this will make you see the key to growing up spiritually. The Word of God is the tool for spiritual growth. Even praying and praying right requires the Word. I John 5:14 says "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us." The Word of God is the will of God. So even praying requires a knowledge of the Word. Also, in the book of Acts, apostle Paul was about to leave his Ephessian disciples and what did he tell them, he told them
“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritanceamong all those who are sanctified"(20:32NIV). He didn't say or did anything else but committing them to the Word. He was trying to tell them that the Word of God is the tool for their becoming built!
Friend, know this for sure that when you spend time in the Word, studying and meditating on it, you'll grow spiritually and you experience a rich fellowship with the Lord through prayers because you have known His will through the studying of His Word. This is the key to growing up spiritually.
